“English poet Jenny Joseph penned those words to begin her poem ‘Warning’, in 1961. The poem, which warns of a responsible mother who plans to let her wild side shine in later life went on to be reprinted 41 times, earn the title of ‘most popular post-war poem’ in the UK in a 1996 poll by the BBC, and to inspire the formation of the Red Hat Society.

“The baby boomer generation has impacted the design of the built environment at each stage of life, and as it moves into its elder years, continues to do so. With posters of the Beatles, The Stones, and Bob Dylan neatly framed outside the theater, and a solarium mural in a toned-down psychedelic theme, Hamilton High St. Residence in Richmond, BC is ready.
